As facial tissues age, the skin loses its elasticity and begins to sag. A facelift can improve the deep cheek folds, jowls, and loose, sagging skin around the neck. The facelift repositions and smoothes the facial tissues to restore a refreshed and attractive appearance. A facelift can do many things, but it does not correct bags under your eyes.

Once a simple skin lift operation, today's sophisticated facelift repositions and smoothes the facial tissues without creating a tight, unnatural or "wind tunnel" look. Excess fat is removed, underlying muscles are tightened, and the skin is redraped. All of this can be accomplished, while leaving scars that are barely noticeable.

In your initial consultation Dr. Coffey will take the time necessary to answer any questions you might have toward realizing your particular goals for improving your facial appearance. Facelifts are very individualized procedures. He will evaluate your face, including the skin and underlying bone.

You will be given the opportunity to view a video and to see photos of his work. Upon scheduling your surgery, you will be given pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
